It’s hard to believe I haven’t done a post here for 2 months. I won’t go into all the reasons -there are too many.
One of them was a pair of tax disputes with CRA (Canada’s tax people) – an unreal world if there ever was one – where I represented myself alone, since a lawyer’s fees would quickly have exceeded the modest amounts involved – when I was suddenly presented with a Jan 11/24 court date and had to work day after day on my files preparing for it – then at the last minute CRA backed down, paid up on one dispute, and abandoned their claim on the other. I won, but I still feel like I lost.
I could write a book about that, but it’s not a book I want to write.
While I’ve been away though, this website has done surprisingly well, and the reason for that is one post – Isaac Asimov and the Joys of Autism.
I’ve known for a long time that it gets more ongoing visits than all my other posts put together, and this didn’t change in the past two months. What is the attraction? Partly it’s that this post isn’t just about Isaac Asimov. It presents my idea that autism (“high-functioning” of course, not with cognitive disabilities added), can be a source of success and happiness. If your interested, click here for the post.
